Start and finish on the Savinja riverbank

COURSE DESCRIPTION: The start is at the venue, Savinja riverbank, from where we will head along the Savinja River to Voglajna and from there along the sandy Pelikan forest path to the Old Castle. The descent from the old castle towards Zagrad is initially on asphalt, where after 500 m at the crossroads we turn left and continue along the meadow and later along the asphalt road to the military shooting range. At the end of the shooting range, we turn right and continue along the macadam path to the crossroads at the Alma Karlin House. From here, we descend the stairs to the asphalt road and continue to the fire station in Zagrad. From here, we continue along the Savinja River to the bridge in Polule, cross it, and turn left at the Belej Inn or pastry shop, where the ascent to the Observation Tower begins. First asphalt and later forest paths climb steeply to the highest point, from where you can enjoy a beautiful view of Celje. The Observation Tower is also a checkpoint on the route. From here, we descend to the City Park and continue to the Rafting Bridge, which crosses the Savinja River, from where it is only a few hundred meters to the finish line.

From here, the course continues along the Savinja River to the bridge in Polule, crosses it, and turns left at the Belej Inn or pastry shop, where the ascent to the Observation Tower begins. From here, we descend to the City Park, where we turn left and after 100 meters begin to climb the well-known Srčno pot (Heart trail). At the top, we turn right, followed by a slight descent and then an ascent past the Tree House to Anski hill. From there, we descend to the shooting range at Petriček, where we turn right and return to the City Park along a sandy path. From here, we continue to the Rafting Bridge, which crosses the Savinja River, from where it is only a few hundred meters to the finish line…

From there, we continue along the Savinja River to the bridge in Polule, cross it, and turn left at Gostilna Belej or pastry shop, where the ascent to the Observation Tower begins. BRNICA HILL, 13 km and 340 m elevation gain
Slopes: BRNICA
COURSE DESCRIPTION: The start is at the venue, Savinja riverbank, from where we will head along the Savinja River to the Boathouse Špica and then to the Suspension bridge. This is followed by a short climb to Brnica, where there is a checkpoint. From there, we descend along the same route to the Suspension bridge. There are two courses back to the finish line:
FIRST OPTION: along the same course across the Suspension bridge, past the Boathouse Špica to the venue, to the Rafting Bridge, and to the finish line at the venue.
SECOND OPTION: along the road past Petriček to the City Park, across the Rafting bridge, and to the finish line at the venue.

TOLSTI HILL, 25 km and 1670 m elevation gain

From here, we turn left and continue to Tolsti hill. From there, we descend to the Celje Hut, with a refreshment point. From here, we continue uphill to the ridge, from where you descend via Vipota to the foot of the hill and back to the fire station in Zagrad. From here, we continue along the Savinja River to the bridge in Polule, cross it, and turn left at Gostilna Belej or pastry shop, where the ascent to the Observation Tower begins. First asphalt and later forest paths climb steeply to the highest point, from where you can enjoy a beautiful view of Celje. The Observation Tower is also a “check point” of the course. From here, we descend to the City Park, from where we continue along the Heart trail and on past the Tree House to Anski hill. From here, we descend to the shooting range at Petriček. From here, we continue along the asphalt road to the Suspension bridge, from where we return along a sandy path past the Concrete factory, Boathouse Špica by the river Savinja to the Rafting bridge, from where it is only a few hundred meters to the finish line…
